“Congregational Care” takes many different forms here at The Highlands, but we believe care and concern happens best when you are connected to a small group, bible study, or class. Here are a few specific ways you can connect to this ministry.
John Wesley, founder of Methodism said, “God does nothing except in answer to believing prayer.” Prayer is truly the avenue God uses to transform us and the world in which we live. The Highlands is blessed with a group of women and men who have committed themselves to a ministry of prayer.
You are invited to become a member of The Highland Prayer Link.
The Shepherding Team, is a lay-led ministry where people with the gifts of compassion and care use those gifts to meet needs and care for those in our church family. Some of the serving areas include: hospital visits, telephoning people in need of contact; meeting one-on-one with those needing a listening ear for prayer and encouragement and offering support to families.
If you are gifted in the areas of compassion and care and you would like to be part of this team, please contact Larry & Fran Green, Shepherding Team Leaders.
Members and friends of The Highlands have recognized that it is a privilege to serve their brothers and sisters in times of need and commit themselves to assuring that individual needs are met within the congregation. Examples of assistance include: meals, transportation or visitation. If you or a family member are experiencing an illness, surgery or hospitalization in your life, please click the following link, submit your request, and someone will contact you.
